Returns and Exchanges Policy

Canada Computers and Electronics offers a 15-day return and 30-day defective exchange on most products. Please see the list below for specific details on each product. 

Returns for refunds must include complete original packaging and contents, including accessories, manuals, software, and any gifts or codes from the initial purchase. All items must be in original, re-salable condition including original software and operating system and accompanied by the original invoice.  Incomplete or physically damaged products will not be accepted. Refunds will be processed onto the original payment method, excluding shipping and handling fees if applicable. 

Note: Select products may need manufacturer verification on defects before processing the returns.

Online Order Returns

To initiate your return request, please input your Web Order number or Store Invoice number to autofill the return details. Once your order details are loaded, you may select which product you would like to return, the reason for your return and request a prepaid shipping label.

Important Note: We offer return labels for defective return or exchanges at no cost. For non-defective reasons the cost of the return label will be deducted from your refunded amount.

Returning an Online Order

Returning an In-Store Purchase

You may return products at the store, bring your purchase and original receipt to the nearest Canada Computers store location to start your return.

One year courtesy warranty service

Canada Computers will ship the defective product for repair or replacement to the manufacturer, at no cost to our customer, within one year from the original date of invoice. The product must still be under Manufacturer Warranty (some restrictions apply). For warranty requests after one year from the date of the product's original invoice, Canada Computers will offer to ship the defective product for repair or replacement to the manufacturer at a minimal cost.

Online Custom Order & 3rd Party Products

Canada Computers prides itself on offering a diverse assortment of products to our customers, we use various vendors and 3rd party sellers. 'Online Custom Order' and '3rd party' orders cannot be cancelled once the order is placed and are not eligible for returns with the exception for defective exchange.

Corporate & Government Account

Policies only apply to orders made by Purchase Orders or Government/Corporate Credit Cards. Credit card information must be provided at time of return.

  • Unopened items can be returned within the 30 day period of purchase date.
  • Opened items which are found defective can be returned within 30 days for refund, exchange and replacement.
  • Opened items which are non-defective can be returned within 15 days for refund. Full packaging is required and product must be in resalable condition.
  • No return for refunds, exchanges, credit or replacement are accepted on Custom Order Items except when they are found defective, in which case the product may be repaired or replaced at Canada Computers & Electronics' discretion.

Mobile Phone Return & Usage Policy

  1. Return and refunds must be within 15 days of the original purchase date with less than 30 minutes of talk time and under 50MB of data.
  2. Refunds only available within the Canada Computers Mobile hours of operation: Mon - Sat: 10am - 7pm | Sun 11 am - 6 pm
  3. Postpaid refunds must take place at the original purchase location
  4. All original receipts including debit transaction slips are required for refund
  5. Gift Card Promotions will need to be returned to point of sale in order to complete any refunds. Gift cards must be at initial loaded value in order to refund device.

Bundle Returns

Certain items sold by Canada Computers are bundled together with two or more products and sold at a discount. All bundles must be returned with all the components together and in working condition. Canada Computers will not return individual items from a bundle.
If you wish to return an item sold within a bundle, the item must fall under the return and exchange policy and the entire bundle must be returned altogether.
If you wish to exchange a defective item sold within a bundle, it must fall under the return and exchange policy for that item and it will be exchanged for the same item.

Return And Exchange Of Items Used For Mining And Farming Cryptocurrencies

Canada Computers will not return, exchange, or provide warranty service for any product that has been used outside of its intended purpose (e.g., cryptocurrency mining and farming). Due to the excessive wear on components used for cryptocurrency mining and farming, Canada Computers will not cover any product(s) that has been used for this purpose. All products will be tested, and parameters of use will be looked at before granting return, exchange, or warranty service. Any product that has been deemed used for mining and/or farming will not be accepted for return or exchange at any Canada Computers location and the warranty will be deemed void with Canada Computers. However, customers may still go directly to the manufacturer for all warranty claims that Canada Computers has declined. Most customers will not be affected by these changes and Canada Computers will still honor the return, exchange, and warranty policies for items used for their intended purposes.

Extended Holiday Return Policy

For products purchased on or after November 13th, 2022, customers are eligible for returns, exchanges, and price protection on most unopened products until January 8th, 2023.
Some conditions apply, refer to return and exchange policy for more information.

  1. An original receipt or flyer for in-store pricing is required on all returns, exchanges, price protection and price match claims.
  2. Store credit card will be issued for any returns made with a gift receipt.
  3. Price protection is only applicable on regular priced products and not applicable on products with rebates, special pricing and Door Crashers on: Nov 25 - Dec 2, and Dec 24 - 30, 2022.
  4. Returns, exchanges, price protection, and price matching are not available on Nov 25, 2022 and Dec 26, 2022.
  5. Online and Corporate Order Pick-Ups cannot be scheduled during Nov 25 - 26, 2022 and Dec 24 - 27, 2022. Canada Computers will disable backorder functions between the same period (except for special order items).
